Legendary Super Saiyan (LSSJ) is the second form players with the Legendary Trait unlock.

Visually, LSSJ's hair becomes green and considerably more raised than Super Saiyan 1's, and the player's aura becomes a green color with green lightning encircling them.

Unlocking

To unlock LSSJ, the player must first master SSJ1 and defeat any of the Mechanical Bosses. Afterward, dying to any boss while in SSJ1 (but not ASSJ or USSJ) will revive them as a LSSJ.

Alternatively, the Dragon Balls' Awakening wish will unlock LSSJ if SSJ1 is already mastered and any of the Mechanical Bosses have been defeated.

Notes

• In comparison to Super Saiyan 2:
  • LSSJ deals noticeably more damage and is slightly quicker (130% vs. 125%).
  • Its unmastered drain is slightly higher (129 Ki/s vs. 120 Ki/s), though its mastered drain is considerably lower (30 Ki/s vs. 60 Ki/s).
  • Its Ki costs are higher (108% vs. 62%), though this is offset by the player's larger maximum Ki and lower passive drain.

Trivia

• Users of this form show great aggression to one being, to the point of rage and destruction. However, after getting used to the form the user is able to get rid of this aggression, as shown in Kale and Broly.
• The first appearance of Legendary Super Saiyan was in Broly - The Legendary Super Saiyan, where Broly fought Goku, Vegeta, Trunks, Piccolo, and Gohan on New Vegeta.
